Conditions: You are assigned as a battalion S-1 and your unit just arrived in a deployed theater. Your commander directs you to establish connectivity to Human Resources (HR) mission command nodes. You have access to a Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT), Combat Service Support Automated Information System (CAISI), unit network infrastructure, standard automation equipment, and the references listed on the enclosed table. Some iterations of this task should be performed in MOPP 4.
Standards: Establish error-free connectivity and secure communications with higher HR headquarters and reporting subordinate commands utilizing the Nonsecure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET) or Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) (as appropriate) and the following mission command systems: CITRIX, electronic Military Personnel Office (eMILPO), Personnel Network (PERNET), Deployed Theater Accountability Software (DTAS), and Defense Casualty Information Processing System (DCIPS).
