GFEBS Essentials

 

GFEBS strategically supports and improves the current Department of Defense (DoD) Business Enterprise Architecture by providing functionality that supports various business components. These include acquisitions, logistics, human resources and strategic planning and budgeting.

Strategic Planning and Budgeting

 

At the installation level, GFEBS gives planners the ability to:

 

1.  View funding at the installation level

2.  Run reports for multiple planning purposes

3.  View accurate, timely data for sound business planning and decision making

Logistics

 

GFEBS supports the Army's logistics programs by providing functionality for inventory management for the Army's material supplies.

Acquisition

 

GFEBS supports the Army's Acquisition process by providing the functionality for procurement activities, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders and the receipt of goods.

Human Resources

 

GFEBS is the system of record for the Line of Accounting (LOA) which is transmitted to the payroll and labor systems.
