FM Master Data Elements include the Application of Funds, Fund, Funds Center, Functional Area, Funded Program, and Commitment Item.

FM Derivation refers to the relationships between master data elements based on "behind the scenes" rules. For example, a cost center entered into a transaction would be associated with a budget address.

Level of Funds Control is the level at which a particular Army Command chooses to control budget and formally distribute funds. Funds can be formally distributed down to Level 3 or down to Level 4.

Consumption of Funds Rules refer to the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) guidance for consumption of funds based on funds status (unexpired, expired and canceled).
