Non-DTS Travel encompasses all
travel not administered by DTS.
Examples of non-DTS travel include
the following:
Permanent Change of Station
(PCS) - civilian and military
Invitational travel
Temporary Duty (TDY) where
DTS has not been implemented
Student travel
Renewal Agreement Travel (RAT)
Once orders have been cut, the
purchase Order Processor enters a
funds commitment document to record
the obligation.
PowerTrack (Transportation)
Obligations
Transportation relates to the shipment of
goods as managed by PowerTrack, a
U.S. Bank system. In GFEBS, a bulk
obligation is created for PowerTrack
payments with a funds commitment
document.
Stock and Supply Items
MILSTRIP purchase interfaced from
logistics systems will be recorded
using a funds commitment document
via the FMZ1 transaction.
Funds Control Module captures
supply requisitions initiated by users
in SARSS and sends the resulting
obligation data to GFEBS via an
interface.
IRM also passes obligation data to
GFEBS via the FCM interface.
TEWLS, a theatre medical logistics
system, sends obligation data
directly to GFEBS via an interface.
Miscellaneous Payment Obligations
Not Subject to PPA
In GFEBS, a funds commitment
document is created to record
miscellaneous payment obligations that
are not subject to PPA. Examples may
include: legal fees and awards, official
phone calls, medical services by a non-
Federal source, damages to General
Services Administration (GSA) vehicles,
municipal services, demurrage charges
(i.e., charges for detaining a ship, freight
car, or truck).
