Goods Movement

 

Goods movement is a transaction resulting in a change in stock (e.g., goods receipt and acceptance or goods issue).

Goods Receipt

 

Goods receipt is the recording of the receiving of goods and/or services in GFEBS.

Goods Issue

 

Goods Issue is a type of goods movement with which a material withdrawal or issue, a material consumption or a shipment of goods to a customer is posted.

Movement Type

 

Movement type is a three-character classification key indicating the type of material movement (e.g., goods receipt or goods acceptance).

Goods Acceptance

 

Goods acceptance is the recording of the acceptance of goods and/or services in GFEBS.

Goods Receipt Processing

 

Goods receipt and acceptance processing can occur simultaneously or can occur separately. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 32.904 provides detailed acceptance criteria, including timing.
