ITAR – Administer Casualty Operations

Conditions: You are the supervisor of a Casualty Assistance Center (CAC) and you are preparing units on your installation to deploy. Your commander has directed you to review the casualty program and ensure your CAC is prepared to execute casualty operations. You have access to FM 1-0 (Human Resources Support), AR 600-8-1 (Army Casualty Program), AR 600-8-4 (Line of Duty Policy, Procedures, and Investigations), AR 600-25 (Salutes, Honors, and Visits of Courtesy), AR 638-2 (Care and Disposition of Remains and Disposition of Personal Effects), SGLV Form 8286 (
Service members Group Life Insurance Program) and DD Form 93 (Record of Emergency Data), DA Form 1156 (Casualty Feeder Card). You have
DCIPS software and user manual. Standard MOPP 4 conditions do not exist for this task. See the MOPP 4 statement for specific conditions.

Standards: Administer the casualty operations mission for your CAC so that all casualties are properly reported within 24 hours, you coordinate and confirm that Next of Kin (NOK) is notified, casualty assistance is provided, remains and personal effects are tracked and all CAC responsibilities are accomplished.
