Action: Process Mail

Conditions: In a classroom environment, you are being assigned to a Military Post Office as the Postal Clerk and are required to conduct clerk responsibilities. You have access to all postal regulations, notices, and manuals. You will use AMPS, and all other postal forms and equipment.

Standards:

1. Collect 10 pieces of Mail for Dispatch by utilizing the facing, sorting, and canceling phases
2. Prepare 5 types of Enhanced Distribution Labels (EDLs) for Dispatch
3. Preform Nesting Procedures for 7 EDLs using AMPS
4. Dispatch 7 pieces of Mail utilizing the DD Form 1372-E
5. Receive 15 pieces of Dispatched Mail using the 1372-E Manifest
6. Prepare 5 pieces of mail utilizing the DD Form 2273 for Delivery
7. Process 4 pieces of Accountable Mail using the PS Forms 3883,
and 3849 in AMPS

Test Standard: Properly process mail accurately IAW the Military Postal Services Procedures Manual (MPM) and be able to achieve a minimum of 80% on performance-based test.
