PURPOSE

The Human Resources Management Qualification Course (HRMQC) is an Adjutant General Corps (AGC) branch-producing course in accordance with DA Pamphlet 600-3, Commissioned Officer Professional Development and Career Management, paragraph 36-5.  Army National Guard and Army Reserve commissioned officer graduates satisfy all requirements for award of Area of Concentration (AOC) 42B or 42H, depending on their current rank. The course prepares Reserve Component (RC) officers to develop, interpret, plan, integrate, coordinate, and implement the Army’s HR programs and policies for the military and civilian work force at brigade and above levels. The training focuses on the HR and leadership efforts necessary for RC brigades to become doctrinally HR functional as noted in FM 1-0, Human Resources Support. Students will experience training in the four HR core competencies of FM 1-0.  Major blocks of instruction include: Personnel Information Management (PIM), Personnel Accounting (PA), Strength Reporting (SR); Personnel Readiness Management (PRM), Provide HR Services, Casualty Operations, Postal Operations, and HR Planning and Operations. Additionally, the class will participate in hands-on exercises using current Army automation systems such as eMILPO, TPS, DTAS, and DCIPS-Forward.  All RC commissioned officers are welcomed to attend provided they have previously completed any Captain’s Career Course (CCC).  The course is also open to HR Warrant Officers and Non-Commissioned officers as well as DA Civilians who are required to provide HR support to the force.
