ITAR – Prepare an Absent Without Leave (AWOL) Dropped From Rolls (DFR) Packet

Conditions: You are assigned to an S-1 section and are required to process documents for Soldiers who have been Absent Without Leave (AWOL) for 30 consecutive days and are officially Dropped from Rolls (DFR). You have access to references listed on the enclosed table, human resources (HR) enabling systems, and general office supplies. This task should not be trained in MOPP 4.

Standards: Obtain, assemble, and scan 100% of the documents required for the DFR packet and forward to servicing Deserter Control Officer (DCO), Military Personnel Division (MPD) or U.S. Army Deserter Information Point (USADIP) (as appropriate), NLT 5 days after the 31st day of AWOL.
